Where it came from
BrickJournal, a magazine dedicated to the adult fan of LEGO hobby, debuted in 2005 under the editorship of Joe Meno. Issue 40 serves as a milestone entry in the long-running publication, which was established to provide a dedicated space for builders to share techniques, showcase custom models, and explore the evolving intersection of plastic brick construction and art. This specific issue continues the tradition of featuring community-driven content, interviews with designers, and step-by-step guides for building intricate projects.
The aesthetic and editorial direction of BrickJournal, including issue 40, centers on a clean, enthusiast-focused design that emphasizes high-quality photography and technical clarity. Published by TwoMorrows Publishing, the magazine was conceived to bridge the gap between casual play and sophisticated model building. Over the years, it has been received by the AFOL community as a vital resource for tracking trends, hardware modifications, and the professionalization of the brick-building craft.
