Where it came from
BrickJournal, established by Joe Meno in 2005, serves as the premier hobbyist magazine dedicated to the adult fan of LEGO community. Issue 38, released in 2016, specifically focused on the intersection of classic building techniques and the evolving digital landscape of fan-created content, aiming to highlight how builders were adapting their layouts for the modern social media era.
The publication is produced by TwoMorrows Publishing, a company well-regarded for its archival focus on pop culture and hobbyist interests. The design of this particular issue utilizes a clean, image-heavy layout that prioritizes high-resolution photography of custom models over dense text, reflecting Meno's philosophy that the visuals of the creations should remain the primary focal point for readers and collectors alike.
