Where it came from
The Diver and Turtle set, released under the Minecraft theme in 2024, was developed to bring the aquatic exploration aspect of the game into a physical build. It focuses on the coral reef biome, a vibrant underwater environment that players frequently encounter while searching for sea turtles and rare blocks. The design aims to replicate the blocky, voxel-based aesthetic of Minecraft through small-scale structural elements and character figures.
The set was designed to capture the interaction between the player character and the marine life mechanics introduced in the game's aquatic updates. Featuring a specialized diver minifigure and a brick-built sea turtle, the design prioritizes playability and the recreation of underwater scenes. Upon its release, it was received as a straightforward addition to the broader Minecraft line, appreciated by collectors for its inclusion of the sea turtle mob.
