Where it came from
The LEGO Friends Dressing Table, set number 562005-1, was released as a promotional polybag set within the popular LEGO Friends theme. Introduced in the early 2010s, the theme was designed to capture a new demographic by shifting away from traditional modular building aesthetics toward a more lifestyle-oriented focus. The set centers on the character Emma, emphasizing themes of creativity and design, which were central pillars of the Friends narrative at its launch.
The design of the set reflects the characteristic pastel color palette and modular aesthetic that defined the initial wave of the Friends line. By prioritizing playability and character-driven vignettes, the design team aimed to integrate small-scale accessories into the larger Heartlake City universe. While these promotional polybags were intended as accessible entry points for younger builders, they have since become noteworthy artifacts documenting the early expansion of the Friends franchise.
