Where it came from
The LEGO Eiffel Tower, set 10307, was released in late 2022 as a premier entry in the Icons collection. Designed to commemorate the architectural marvel originally constructed for the 1889 World's Fair, this model stands nearly five feet tall, making it one of the tallest sets ever produced by the company. Its development focused on capturing the iconic lattice structure through advanced building techniques and a modular approach that allows the tower to be separated into four sections for easier handling and transport.
Lead designer Rok Žgalin Kobe directed the project, aiming to balance structural integrity with the intricate aesthetic of Gustave Eiffel's masterpiece. The design process prioritized the recreation of the tower's famous arches and cross-bracing, utilizing specific plate and brick configurations to mimic the ironwork at scale. Upon its debut, the set was widely praised by the adult collector community for its technical ambition and fidelity to the historical silhouette of the Parisian landmark.
