Where it came from
The LEGO City Fire Station, set 60320, was released in 2022 as part of the long-running City theme, which serves as the cornerstone of the modern LEGO portfolio. Designed for a younger demographic, the set reflects the brand's ongoing transition toward play-centric builds that incorporate modular elements and functional features, such as a water-element shooter and a fire truck with a functioning crane.
The design team focused on interactivity, moving away from purely static display models to prioritize the 'action' component of emergency service play. Like its predecessors in the City sub-theme, this set was developed to integrate seamlessly with the LEGO Road Plate system introduced in 2021, emphasizing the interconnected nature of the modern City line and its role in encouraging imaginative urban planning among children.
