Where it came from
Released in 2022 as part of the Lego City Stuntz sub-theme, the Police Chase at the Bank set was designed to capture the high-energy action of a classic cinematic heist. The set features a modular bank building alongside several specialized vehicles, including a getaway truck and a police motorcycle, emphasizing the playability and interactive stunts that define this particular iteration of the Lego City line.
The design team focused on incorporating integrated gear-driven mechanisms that allow for explosive wall-breach effects, reflecting a shift toward more dynamic, narrative-focused builds within the City series. Upon its launch, it was received as a substantial addition for builders interested in complex urban dioramas, appreciated for its density of minifigures and its departure from the more static building designs typical of earlier police station sets.
