Heartlake City Water Park

The LEGO Friends Heartlake City Water Park, set 42630-1, was released in 2024 as part of the ongoing evolution of the Friends theme, which originally launched in 2012. Designed to capture the vibrant, leisure-focused aesthetic of Heartlake City, the set emphasizes interactive play features such as a spiral slide, a water cannon, and a whirlpool. It reflects the line's contemporary shift toward more inclusive character development and modular building styles that appeal to younger builders interested in social play scenarios.

The design team behind this set focused on creating a multifaceted structure that recreates the scale and activity of a public water park. By integrating transparent blue elements to simulate water and diverse play zones, the designers aimed to provide a high level of visual detail while maintaining the accessibility and durability typical of current LEGO System sets. Like much of the modern Friends lineup, the set was received as a colorful, complex build that balances structural integrity with a narrative-driven focus on character interaction.
