Where it came from
Released in 2016 as part of the LEGO Friends theme, the Heartlake Party Shop (set 41132-1) was designed to expand the playability of the Heartlake City environment. The theme was introduced by LEGO in 2012 to appeal to a demographic that had been underserved by traditional LEGO sets, utilizing a unique mini-doll figure system rather than the standard minifigure to facilitate roleplay-centric storytelling.
The set reflects the design philosophy of the Friends line, which emphasizes detailed interior spaces and pastel color palettes. It features a two-story modular building focused on party planning, complete with a storefront, a gift-wrapping station, and a party-planning desk. Like other sets in the series, it was received as a versatile addition to the wider collection, praised for its accessory-heavy inventory and focus on social interaction scenarios.
