Ice Emperor

The Ice Emperor minifigure was released in 2019 as the primary antagonist for the eleventh season of the Lego Ninjago animated series, titled Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu. The character, originally revealed to be the corrupted form of Zane, was introduced to shift the narrative focus toward the internal struggles of the ninja team. The design leans heavily into a cold, regal aesthetic, featuring a translucent light blue element for the head and a specialized crown piece that distinguishes him from standard minifigure archetypes.

The design process centered on creating a formidable visual identity that emphasized the character's mastery over ice. The intricate printing on the torso and legs reflects a crystalline, armored appearance intended to convey a sense of ancient power and malice. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by the collector community for its unique color palette and the inclusion of the 'Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu' accessory, which tied the physical set directly into the core plot points of the television show.
