Where it came from
The Kamino Training Facility, released as set 40765-1, was introduced as a promotional build within the LEGO Star Wars theme. Designed to capture the sterile, clinical aesthetic of the cloning facilities seen in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, this compact set focuses on the iconic Kaminoan architecture. It serves as a micro-scale representation, utilizing a limited piece count to distill the atmosphere of the mysterious ocean planet into an accessible desktop model.
The design team focused on the stark blue and white color palette synonymous with Tipoca City to ensure immediate recognition for fans of the franchise. By prioritizing the structural silhouettes of the cloning pods and walkways, the set emphasizes the thematic focus of the prequel era. It was well-received by collectors who appreciate space-efficient builds that offer a narrative snapshot of the Star Wars galaxy, providing a niche addition to broader collections centered on the Republic's origins.
