Where it came from
The Knight with Chest and Anvil set was introduced by LEGO as part of the Minecraft theme, a collaboration that launched in 2012 to translate the block-based aesthetics of the sandbox video game into a physical medium. The set was designed to capture the resource-gathering and crafting loops central to the game, providing players with a minifigure-scaled knight and functional terrain elements like the anvil and storage chest.
The design prioritizes the iconic pixelated art style of Minecraft, utilizing specialized printed tiles and molded elements to replicate the game's distinct geometric look. Within the collecting community, the set is recognized for its compact design, which serves as an accessible entry point for fans looking to build out small-scale scenes from the game's survival mode.
