Where it came from
Released in 2015 as part of the LEGO Ninjago theme, the Scenery and Dagger Trap set, identified as 5002919-1, was a promotional polybag released during the Tournament of Elements story arc. It was designed to provide a small, tactile expansion to the larger playsets of the era, allowing builders to replicate the hazards faced by the ninja characters in the quest for the Jade Blades.
The design focuses on compact environmental storytelling, featuring a simple lever mechanism that activates a falling dagger trap. While it lacks the intricate brick-built complexity of primary sets, it remains a notable piece of Ninjago history for its inclusion of a Chen’s Warrior minifigure, serving as a functional accessory that bolstered the theme's immersive world-building during the height of the show's popularity.
