Where it came from
The Blade Stunt Challenge, set 60340-1, was released by the LEGO Group in 2022 as part of the Stuntz subtheme within the City line. Designed to expand the interactive stunt-focused play introduced in the previous year, this set features a flywheel-powered motorcycle and a modular stunt obstacle. The design emphasizes kinetic play, utilizing a friction motor to propel the minifigure rider through a series of light-touch barriers.
The set was developed to appeal to a younger demographic interested in action-oriented construction toys. By focusing on stunt-based challenges rather than traditional static builds, the design team sought to capture the energy of performance sports. Upon release, it was well-received by fans of the City theme for its accessibility, affordability, and ability to integrate seamlessly with other sets in the broader Stuntz ecosystem.
