Where it came from
Released in 2014, the LEGO Movie Poster Sticker (set 5002891-1) was issued as a promotional item to coincide with the theatrical debut of The LEGO Movie. This adhesive sheet was primarily distributed as a gift-with-purchase or a promotional giveaway at LEGO Brand Retail stores and select partner events, serving as a tie-in to the first major feature-length film produced by the LEGO Group.
The sticker sheet features artwork mirroring the theatrical poster design for the film, showcasing the primary protagonist, Emmet Brickowski, alongside other key characters like Wyldstyle and Batman. The design follows the bold, high-energy aesthetic of the film's promotional campaign, intended to build excitement for the cinematic experience by allowing fans to affix the key figures of the movie onto their own personal belongings.
