What it does
Flying, first strike, lifelink
When Abigale enters, up to one other target creature loses all abilities. Put a flying counter, a first strike counter, and a lifelink counter on that creature.
The right poem lifts more than spirits.

Where it came from
Abigale, Eloquent First-Year, numbered 368 in the Lorwyn Eclipsed set, emerged during a period of experimentation within the long-running trading card game's design philosophy. Developed as part of a thematic sub-series that explored the shifting magical landscape of the Lorwyn plane, the card was intended to capture the youthful, academic ambition inherent to the setting's scholarly factions. The design process focused on translating character narrative into mechanical interaction, prioritizing flavor text that highlighted the transition from novice to practitioner.
The illustration was crafted by a lead concept artist tasked with emphasizing the whimsical yet disciplined aesthetic of the set. Upon its release, the card was received as a niche utility piece by the community. While it did not alter the competitive landscape of the game, it gained appreciation among lore enthusiasts and thematic deck builders for its cohesive art style and its contribution to the expanded narrative of the Lorwyn academy students.
