Admonition Angel

Admonition Angel was originally released in the 2010 set Worldwake, designed by Wizards of the Coast as a mythic rare representative of the Zendikar plane's celestial protectors. The card was specifically crafted to showcase the landfall mechanic, a defining feature of the Zendikar block that rewards players for playing land cards by triggering powerful combat or board-control effects, in this case allowing players to exile non-land permanents.

This particular version appeared in the 2020 Zendikar Rising Commander set, serving as a reprint that updated the card for a new generation of players. The artwork, consistent with the original design aesthetic, captures the ethereal and formidable nature of Zendikar’s angels, emphasizing their role as watchers over the dangerous, treasure-filled landscape of the plane. It remains a staple for white-aligned decks that focus on land synergy and board state management.
