Aettir and Priwen

Aettir and Priwen were released as part of the Opus series for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, a tabletop strategy game developed by Square Enix and Hobby Japan. The card features characters from the Final Fantasy universe, specifically drawing from the aesthetic and lore of the later entries in the franchise. These cards were designed to capture the high-fantasy visual identity of the series, utilizing official character art to appeal to both long-time fans and competitive trading card game players.

The design process for the Opus sets involved adapting existing character models into a cohesive card layout that emphasized both gameplay mechanics and collectability. Illustration duties for the TCG have been handled by various artists associated with Square Enix, aiming to maintain the series' recognizable art style while ensuring clarity for game functions. Upon release, the set was received as a significant expansion that balanced deep strategic mechanics with the nostalgic draw of the Final Fantasy brand.
