Aettir and Priwen

Aettir and Priwen were released as part of the Opus series for the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, a tabletop strategy game developed by Square Enix. The cards feature characters and weaponry derived from the expansive Final Fantasy universe, specifically drawing from the aesthetic and narrative conventions of the series' long-running visual identity. The game was designed to blend traditional card mechanics with the summon-and-magic systems iconic to the franchise, allowing players to engage with lore across multiple titles in a competitive format.

The illustrations for these cards were crafted by official series artists who maintain the distinct character design language associated with Final Fantasy. The design intent was to capture the essence of the characters' specialized weaponry and elemental affinities, ensuring visual continuity with the source games. Upon release, the card set was received by the community as a bridge between the digital experience of the video games and the tactical depth of physical collectible card games.
