Alchemist's Greeting

Alchemist's Greeting was first introduced in the Innistrad set, designed to capture the gothic horror atmosphere of the plane. The card depicts a volatile alchemist at work, embodying the set's central themes of transformation and the dangerous intersection of science and madness common to the Innistrad narrative. The illustration focuses on the frenetic energy of the character, emphasizing the high-risk, high-reward nature of the card's mechanic which allows it to be cast for a reduced cost.

The Innistrad Remastered printing, featuring collector number 393, serves as a curated retrospective of the plane's most iconic and evocative designs. As part of a remastered set, this version seeks to provide players and collectors with updated access to cards that defined the limited play environment of the original block. It remains a notable example of how the design team utilized red-aligned burn spells to reinforce the visceral, darker aesthetic of the world.
