At the beginning of your upkeep, surveil 2. (Look at the top two cards of your library, then put any number of them into your graveyard and the rest on top of your library in any order.)
Each enchantment card in your hand has miracle. Its miracle cost is equal to its mana cost reduced by 4 generic mana. (You may cast a card for its miracle cost when you draw it if it's the first card you drew this turn.)

Where it came from
Aminatou, Veil Piercer was released in 2024 as part of the Commander set for Duskmourn: House of Horror, a Magic: The Gathering expansion inspired by 1970s and 1980s horror tropes. As a planeswalker card featured in the lead deck, Aminatou represents a return of a character previously introduced in 2018, reimagined to fit the set's unsettling aesthetic. The card serves as the face commander for the Miracle Worker deck, designed to leverage mechanics centered around top-deck manipulation and casting high-cost spells for reduced mana.
The artistic direction for this iteration of Aminatou, handled by illustrator Magali Villeneuve, emphasizes a chilling, ethereal presence that aligns with the eerie themes of the Duskmourn plane. The design focuses on her ability to manipulate fate, visualized through spectral imagery and dark, atmospheric lighting. Upon its release, the card received significant attention from the Commander community for its strategic viability, particularly due to its synergy with the miracle mechanic and its utility in decks focused on top-deck control.
