What it does
Enchant your graveyard
Enchanted graveyard is a creature on the battlefield with base power and toughness each equal to the number of cards in it. It has the text boxes of all creature cards in it. It's still a graveyard.
If enchanted graveyard would leave the battlefield, instead exile this Aura.

Where it came from
Animate Graveyard was released in 2022 as part of the Unfinity set, the fourth installment in Wizards of the Coast’s silver-bordered 'Un' series. Designed to blend traditional Magic: The Gathering mechanics with irreverent, joke-based gameplay, the set leaned heavily into a retro-futuristic carnival aesthetic. This specific card reflects the set's thematic commitment to space-age puns and playful subversions of graveyard recursion tropes common in the game's broader history.
The card was illustrated by Titus Lunter, a long-time contributor to the game known for his atmospheric landscapes and creature designs. In this piece, Lunter leaned into the whimsical, neon-soaked art direction established for the Unfinity plane of Myra the Magnificent’s Intergalactic Astrotorium of Fun. It was received by the player base as a quintessential example of the set’s tongue-in-cheek design, focusing on wordplay rather than competitive utility.
