What it does
You may have this creature enter as a copy of any creature on the battlefield, except it isn't legendary, is an artifact in addition to its other types, and has myriad. (Whenever it attacks, for each opponent other than defending player, you may create a token copy that's tapped and attacking that player or a planeswalker they control. Exile the tokens at end of combat.)

Where it came from
The Auton Soldier card, numbered 641, features the iconic plastic antagonists first introduced in the 1970 Doctor Who serial Spearhead from Space. As the first monsters faced by the Third Doctor upon his arrival on Earth, the Autons represented a chilling shift toward grounded, suburban horror. These life-sized plastic mannequins, controlled by the collective consciousness known as the Nestene Consciousness, were designed to be unsettling in their stillness and sudden, lethal movement, embodying the show's transition to a more contemporary, gritty aesthetic under producer Barry Letts.
The artwork for this particular card captures the menacing, expressionless visage of the Auton, reflecting the production design of the era where store mannequins were repurposed to create a sense of uncanny dread. The creature's legacy is defined by its simple yet effective design, which required minimal costume work while leveraging the familiar environment of high street shops. Within the broader Doctor Who trading card sets, this item serves as a tribute to the enduring popularity of the series' classic villains and their significant impact on the show's lore.
