What it does
Spells you control can't be countered by blue or black spells this turn, and creatures you control can't be the targets of blue or black spells this turn.

Where it came from
Autumn's Veil was released in 2010 as part of the Magic 2011 core set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. It was designed as a situational green-aligned instant intended to provide players with a narrow but effective defensive tool against blue and black control strategies, specifically offering protection for the player's spells and permanents during their own turn.
The card features illustration by Johann Bodin, who rendered a misty, ethereal forest scene that captures the thematic essence of a transition into the autumn season. While it did not immediately reshape competitive formats upon its introduction, it is remembered by players as a flavor-forward utility card that highlights the color pie's emphasis on nature's resilience against the manipulation of magic.
