Bad Moon

Bad Moon was originally released in the 1993 Alpha set for Magic: The Gathering, designed by Richard Garfield to represent the flavorful concept of black mana bolstering creatures of the night. As one of the core enchantments in the game's earliest iteration, it provided a simple but effective mechanic that served as a staple for aggressive black-aligned decks during the game's foundational period.

The Edgar print, commonly known as the Summer Magic set, originated from a 1994 attempt by Wizards of the Coast to correct printing errors found in the Revised Edition. Due to a distributor error, many of these cards were recalled and destroyed, leaving a very small pool of cards to circulate among collectors, which has since solidified their status as some of the rarest and most historically significant artifacts in the hobby's history.
