Where it came from
Bad Moon was released as part of the Limited Edition Beta set for Magic: The Gathering in 1993, following the initial Alpha printing. As one of the game's earliest black-aligned enchantments, it was designed to mechanically reinforce the color's thematic reliance on death and decay by providing a static power and toughness boost to all black creatures on the battlefield.
