Boar

The Boar token, numbered 12 in the Innistrad: Crimson Vow set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in November 2021 as a supplement for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Tokens like this one were designed to represent board states created by specific spells or abilities, such as the card 'Curse of Hospitality,' which creates a 3/3 red Boar creature token. These items are distributed within randomized booster packs, serving as a functional utility piece for players during gameplay sessions.

The visual design follows the gothic horror aesthetic central to the Innistrad plane. Illustrators for these tokens are tasked with maintaining thematic continuity with the primary set cards, often utilizing dark, atmospheric color palettes and jagged lines to convey the wild, corrupted nature of the creatures inhabiting the region. While token cards are functional rather than collectible in the traditional sense, they are valued by players for their role in facilitating the mechanics of the game.
