Boosted

The Marvel Super Heroes Jumpstart set was released in the mid-1990s as a strategic trading card game designed to introduce players to the mechanics of the broader Marvel collectible card ecosystem. Featuring streamlined rules and accessible gameplay, these cards were intended to serve as a gateway for younger or newer hobbyists who might find more complex card games intimidating. The design aesthetic reflects the bold, high-contrast comic book art style common to the era, utilizing dynamic poses and saturated colors to highlight the superhuman capabilities of the featured characters.

The 'Boosted' card, numbered 41 in this specific sub-series, functions as an action or status modifier card within the game's mechanics. Its visual direction was handled by the production team tasked with maintaining consistency across the Jumpstart line, ensuring that the typography and iconography were legible and thematic. While the set is often viewed as a nostalgic entry point rather than a competitive staple, it remains a recognized component of Marvel card history for its role in expanding the reach of comic-based gaming during a significant decade for the hobby.
