Breeding Pool is a dual land card that debuted in the original Ravnica: City of Guilds expansion in 2005. As a core component of the shock land cycle, it represents the intersection of the Simic Combine’s vibrant, bio-engineered aesthetic and the functional mechanical necessity of mana fixing in Magic: The Gathering. Its inclusion in the 2024 Ravnica: Clue Edition was intended to blend the world-building of the Ravnica plane with the investigative gameplay elements of the Clue board game, offering players a thematic reprint of a foundational piece of strategy.
