Call the Skybreaker

Call the Skybreaker was released in 2008 as part of the Eventide set, the second expansion in the Shadowmoor block for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. The set was designed to explore the concept of hybrid mana and the transition of the game's setting toward a state of constant, magical twilight, where the distinction between light and shadow blurred. As a rare sorcery, the card was crafted to showcase the block's emphasis on utility and late-game impact through mechanics like retrace, which allowed players to cast the spell multiple times from their graveyard.

The card's striking illustration was provided by artist Randy Gallegos, known for his work across several sets during this era of the game.
