Careful Cultivation // Careful Cultivation

Careful Cultivation was released in 2022 as part of the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Art Series. These cards were specifically produced as collectible, oversized-style art prints on standard cardstock, designed to showcase the intricate illustrations from the main set without the typical gameplay frames or text boxes. They were distributed in collector boosters to provide players and enthusiasts with a high-definition look at the aesthetic evolution of the Kamigawa plane, which blended traditional Japanese folklore with futuristic cyberpunk elements.

The artwork for this piece was created by artist Lius Lasahido, who focused on the harmonious interaction between the spirit realm and the technological landscape of the set. The design emphasizes a serene, meditative quality, using soft color palettes and flowing linework to represent the growth of natural energy within a neon-lit environment. Upon release, these art cards were well-received by the Magic: The Gathering community for their utility as both decorative items and visual references for the artistic direction of the Neon Dynasty expansion.
