Cascade Bluffs

Cascade Bluffs is a land card originally printed in the Shadowmoor expansion in 2008 as part of a cycle of filter lands designed to support the set's emphasis on hybrid mana costs. The card was specifically crafted to help players manage the complex mana requirements of multicolored decks by converting two generic mana into a combination of blue and red mana. The artwork for the original release, and subsequently this reprint, was created by the artist Sam Burley, who opted for a serene, atmospheric depiction of a secluded waterfall tucked within a rugged cliffside landscape, effectively conveying the duality of the card's elemental output.

This version of the card appeared in the Masters 25 set, which was released in March 2018 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. As part of a curated selection of iconic or mechanically significant cards from the game's history, its inclusion in the set provided players with a modern reprint of a staple utility land.
