Where it came from
Cinnamon, Seasoned Steed, identified by the collector number RA01, originates from the promotional card series released by Wizards of the Coast for the Magic: The Gathering 'Secret Lair' brand. This card was designed as a thematic addition to the 'My Little Pony' crossover event, which sought to blend the whimsical, colorful aesthetic of the Equestria universe with the established gameplay mechanics of the trading card game. It represents a unique, limited-distribution project intended to celebrate collaborative creativity between Hasbro’s intellectual properties.
The artwork and design of Cinnamon were crafted to emphasize the character's gentle and helpful persona within the context of the game. By utilizing the iconic art style associated with the franchise, the creators aimed to appeal to both long-time hobbyists and fans of the source material. Upon its release, the card was received as a novelty collectible, widely recognized by the community for its unconventional subject matter and its status as a sought-after piece for those who curate themed or pop-culture-oriented card collections.
