Concordant Crossroads

Concordant Crossroads was originally printed in the 1994 Legends expansion, designed during an era of Magic: The Gathering history where rules were still evolving and enchantments often had dramatic, game-altering effects. The card was created to provide a global haste-granting effect, a defining green ability that significantly accelerates the pace of play. Its thematic presence in the Legends set leaned into the high-fantasy narrative of that release, offering a potent tool for creature-heavy strategies.

The 2022 Double Masters version, featuring artwork by Magali Villeneuve, reimagines the classic card with a modern aesthetic sensibility. Villeneuve’s design focuses on the ethereal and bustling nature of a nexus where paths meet, moving away from the more literal interpretation of the original. This version was well-received by players for its refined art style and its inclusion in a premium set, which prioritized reprints of high-demand cards that had become difficult to acquire for competitive play.
