Where it came from
The Drone card from the Edge of Eternities Tokens set was produced to support the expanded token ecosystem within the game’s organized play structure. These tokens were introduced to provide players with uniform, thematic visual representations for creatures created by spell effects during gameplay, ensuring that mechanical interactions remained clear and consistent across competitive environments.
The design of the Drone reflects the ethereal and futuristic aesthetic established for the Edge of Eternities series, favoring clean, minimalist linework that emphasizes its utility as a game piece. While specific artist credits for individual token cards are often secondary to the primary set illustrators, the design language was curated by the development team to remain unobtrusive during high-stakes matches while maintaining the distinct visual identity of the expansion.
