Fischer’s depiction of the Eager Cadet emphasizes the archetypal, noble soldier aesthetic common to white-aligned creatures in the game's lore. Upon its release, the Ninth Edition version was received as a standard piece of deck-filling utility, valued more for its foundational role in building limited format decks than for any specific narrative prominence.
