Evil Eye of Urborg

Evil Eye of Urborg was originally released in the 2006 Magic: The Gathering expansion Time Spiral. Set on the plane of Dominaria, the expansion focused on temporal rifts and the return of iconic figures and concepts from the game's long history. The card was designed as a rare creature intended to emphasize a tribal theme for walls, featuring a unique static ability that discouraged the use of other non-wall creatures, reflecting the flavor of a monolithic, ominous presence.

The card’s illustration was created by artist Heather Hudson, who utilized a dark, atmospheric style to capture the eye's malevolent nature within the swampy, decaying environment of Urborg.
