Fa'adiyah Seer

Fa'adiyah Seer was introduced in the 2020 Magic: The Gathering set Jumpstart, a product designed specifically to facilitate a fast, accessible, and repeatable draft experience. The set functioned as a self-contained environment where players could combine two themed half-decks to create a ready-to-play deck, making it an ideal entry point for new participants and a unique challenge for long-term players. As a green creature card, the Seer was crafted to provide mana utility, fitting neatly into the set’s focus on straightforward, synergy-based gameplay.

The card was illustrated by Johannes Voss, a prominent artist within the Magic: The Gathering community known for his emotive and vibrant character designs. In creating the artwork for Fa'adiyah Seer, Voss utilized his signature style to depict the character with a sense of mystical intuition, aligning with the card's function of digging through one's library to find land cards. Upon its release, the card was received as a solid utility piece within its limited format, appreciated for its clean design and its ability to help players smooth out their resource development.
