Fíli and Kíli, Joyous // Fíli and Kíli, Joyous

Fíli and Kíli, Joyous is the inaugural card in The Hobbit Eternal Art Series, a collection released to celebrate the visual legacy of J.R.R. Tolkien’s middle-earth. The card features two of the most prominent dwarves from the company of Thorin Oakenshield, emphasizing their youthful energy and brotherly bond. This series was designed to showcase specialized artistic interpretations that diverge from standard film-based merchandise, focusing instead on character expressions and thematic harmony.

The art style chosen for this series emphasizes a whimsical, illustrative approach, aiming to evoke the adventurous spirit of The Hobbit rather than a literal depiction of the cinema adaptation. By prioritizing composition and color palettes that reflect the dwarves' cheerful dynamic before the onset of their arduous journey, the illustrators sought to create a collectible that feels both timeless and distinct within the broader landscape of Tolkien-related ephemera. The series has been received by enthusiasts as a thoughtful homage to the depth of the source material.
