Flayer Husk

Flayer Husk was originally introduced in the 2011 Magic: The Gathering set Mirrodin Besieged. It was designed as part of the Living Weapon mechanic, which represented the Phyrexian practice of creating equipment that physically integrates with the wielder, often serving as a grotesque extension of the host's body. The card's design highlights the dark aesthetic of New Phyrexia, where organic and metallic elements blur into a singular, nightmare-inducing tool of war.

The art, illustrated by Igor Kieryluk, captures the visceral, biomechanical horror central to the Phyrexian faction.
