Geyadrone Dihada // Geyadrone Dihada

Geyadrone Dihada was released in 2021 as part of the Modern Horizons 2 Art Series, a specialized subset of the larger Modern Horizons 2 expansion for Magic: The Gathering. These cards were distributed as promotional inserts in collector boosters, designed to highlight the high-quality illustrations commissioned for the set. The piece serves as a companion to the traditional gameplay version of the card, stripping away the rules text and frame to showcase the full-bleed artwork intended for display by collectors.

The character Geyadrone Dihada is a legendary figure from Magic: The Gathering lore, depicted here by artist Magali Villeneuve. Known for her expressive, painterly style, Villeneuve aimed to capture the dark, commanding presence of the character, utilizing dramatic lighting and intricate detail. The reception of these art cards has been largely positive among the player base, as they provide an opportunity to appreciate the artistic contributions to the game's expansive narrative universe in a clean, gallery-style format.
