Hallowed Fountain

Hallowed Fountain was originally introduced in the 2005 Ravnica: City of Guilds expansion as part of a cycle of dual lands that utilize life totals as a resource. The Zendikar Expeditions version was released in 2015 as a premium, lottery-style insert found in booster packs of the Battle for Zendikar set. These cards were designed as masterpieces, featuring unique borderless art and a specialized holographic foiling process to celebrate the game's expansive multiverse history.

The artwork for this specific expedition was created by Noah Bradley, who sought to capture the distinct aesthetic of the plane of Zendikar while maintaining the card's identity as a fountain of white and blue mana. The series was met with significant enthusiasm from the collector community, as it marked the first time these staple utility cards were available with high-end, full-art treatments, significantly increasing their aesthetic value within the hobby.
