Fetid Heath

Fetid Heath was originally introduced in the Shadowmoor expansion as a rare land capable of producing two colors of mana. This particular iteration, numbered 31 in the Zendikar Expeditions series, was released in late 2015 as part of a highly sought-after group of premium, full-art foil reprints inserted into Battle for Zendikar booster packs. The series was designed to showcase iconic lands from Magic: The Gathering's history, reimagined with brand-new, evocative artwork and a unique frame treatment that distinguished them from standard cards.

The art for this version was commissioned to fit the aesthetic of the Zendikar plane, emphasizing the rugged, elemental beauty often associated with the setting. By moving away from the more traditional visual style of the original Shadowmoor print, the Expeditions team aimed to create a 'masterpiece' version of the land that would appeal to high-end collectors and players alike. Upon its release, the card was widely celebrated for its rarity and its distinct departure from the game's standard visual language, quickly becoming a staple for players looking to customize their decks with premium components.
