Where it came from
Heartwood is a token card featured in the Reality Fracture collection, released as a non-tradable or peripheral element designed to represent game states rather than core competitive cards. Like other items in this series, it was crafted to address the need for functional visual aids that maintain the thematic aesthetic of the set, emphasizing organic, textural motifs consistent with the 'Heartwood' moniker.
The design of the card utilizes minimalist botanical imagery to serve as a high-clarity game piece, favoring utility over the dense narrative illustration often found on main set cards. It was developed to integrate seamlessly into play environments where tracking temporary board presence is essential, and it is recognized primarily by enthusiasts for its clean, understated contribution to the series' overall visual language.
