Hollowmurk Siege

Hollowmurk Siege was released as part of the Tarkir: Dragonstorm promotional series, a set of alternate-art cards distributed through Wizards of the Coast organized play events. The card draws its thematic inspiration from the plane of Tarkir, a world defined by its shifting timelines and dragon-centric conflicts. Specifically, the card represents the tactical defenses employed during the intense elemental and draconic warfare that characterized the set's setting.

The visual design for this specific promotion focuses on the grim, atmospheric aesthetic associated with the Sultai Brood, reflecting the card's mechanical identity. The illustration emphasizes the decaying, oppressive nature of the faction's magic, aiming to immerse players in the dark, swamp-bound culture of the region. As a promotional variant, it was received by the player base as a collectible alternative to the standard printing, prized for its unique frame treatment and the thematic art that distinguishes it within the Dragonstorm collection.
