Instill Energy is a green enchantment card from the Limited Edition Beta set of Magic: The Gathering, released by Wizards of the Coast in 1993. As part of the game's earliest print runs, it reflects the experimental design philosophy of Richard Garfield, who sought to create a card game that mimicked the complexity of traditional fantasy role-playing games. The card was designed to allow a creature to attack as though it had haste and to untap itself, a mechanical interaction that was highly unconventional for the era.
