Instill Energy

Instill Energy is a green enchantment card released as part of the Summer Magic set, also colloquially known as the Edgar set, in 1994. This set was a limited production run intended to replace the Revised Edition, but it became infamous for its distribution errors and extreme rarity, remaining one of the most obscure and debated releases in the history of the trading card game.

The artwork for the card was created by Douglas Shuler, whose distinct illustrative style helped define the visual language of the game's earliest sets. Like the original Alpha and Beta versions, the Summer Magic printing maintains the card's functional role of untapping a creature to allow for additional activations or attacks, though it remains a prized curiosity among collectors due to the specific color saturation and misprint nuances unique to this rare production cycle.
