Jungle Basin

Jungle Basin was released in 1997 as part of the Visions expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, this set was notable for being the first to be designed in collaboration with players from Japan, aiming to integrate Eastern aesthetic sensibilities and mechanics into the game's established lore. The land cards in this set, including Jungle Basin, introduced a bounce mechanic where players returned a land to their hand, offering a unique strategic trade-off between resource management and land utility.

The artwork for the card was rendered by artist Brian Snoddy, whose work was a staple of the game during its formative years.
