Infernal Harvest

Infernal Harvest was released in 1997 as part of the Visions expansion for Magic: The Gathering. As the second set in the Mirage block, Visions was designed to push the boundaries of card mechanics, introducing the concept of phasing and focusing heavily on tribal synergies and graveyard interactions. The card itself reflects the dark, high-fantasy aesthetic common to the era, serving as a utilitarian sorcery intended to generate temporary card advantage at a literal cost to the player's own resources.

The artwork was provided by Nathalie Hertz, whose contribution to this set captures the macabre and somber tone of the black mana color identity.
