Where it came from
Keeper of the Accord is a card featured in the Magic: The Gathering Fallout Commander set, released in 2024 to coincide with the franchise's surge in popularity. This card belongs to a series of releases designed to integrate the post-apocalyptic setting of the Fallout video games into the established mechanics of Magic: The Gathering, utilizing the 'Commander' format to allow players to construct decks centered around iconic characters and factions from the wasteland.
The art and design for the card reflect the visual language of the Brotherhood of Steel, emphasizing the faction's focus on order and preservation. As a reprint of a card originally debuted in Commander Legends, its inclusion in the Fallout set serves to provide players with functional access to resource-balancing mechanics while thematicizing the card's utility within the context of wasteland governance and tactical recruitment.
